"Having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful feelings in the world." - Andrew Rooney

Note: I have made an adjustment to the original and toned back the red.
This was achieved using Photoshop and sliding the Color Balance from Red to Cyan.

The black background is straight from camera due to the available light and settings used.

The child was only several hours old when the photo was taken.

Thankyou for taking time to look and for your comments.

Hey there Leo, I really love this pose. Your baby was much fatter than mine at almost two weeks old (a preemie), btw. I'm jealous ;-)

To get a bit more of that magenta coloring out of there, you can use HUE/SATURATION. Bring that up, choose Magenta, then slide the SATURATION slider over to the left a bit. If for some reason the Magenta color isn't making the difference, try doing the desaturating with the Red color. I suspect that the baby's red coloring is pretty accurate in this shot, going by the coloring in the adult's hand.

Babies are grand, aren't they? Well done Leo ;-) --Nancy

Thankyou for your reply Andy. The shot was hand held using the light available indoors. Can you describe what can be done using Photoshop to decrease the red? (Leo)

lovely hands, leo, and very nice juxtaposition of old and young ;-) (*) i'd work on the tint, though, it seems a bit reddish to me. nice job, overall, and i like the black background. -- andy
