It's a roughly 200% crop of a portrait with little processing at all, just some saturation, maybe 25%. The "grain" is just that from the IR pic with available light which tends to be pretty noisy and at this level of blow up it is like the grain of a 35mm shot.
The hand is that of my wife who has published poetry and a book. Her hands remind me of those in Rennaisance portraits.
Jules, I like the way you cropped this...and the interesting color effect from the "no-filter" IR technique. Good catch of the position/pose of the hand. The "grain" is also effective...is it "natural" or a type of filter technique? MFC
