This is my hometown, awesome community to grow up in, where respect for your elders was a given, life was good, family & friends were everything.

Thanks for the comments and encouragement. This village is only 5 minutes drive from where I live so I visit often. It does have a "quaintness" that begs to be explored photographically and I intend to do just that over time. I "snapped" this one when I had a few minutes to spare - just for an entry in this challenge.

Jerry, I too like the overall feel of this scene. There are many strong visual/social elements present at this locale, but perhaps almost too many for a broad perspective. (*) Andy suggested one perspective and I think you could also choose amongst the industrial elements, the small quant boats, the rocky landscape to make any number of statements using one of those as a forground subject. Thanks for sharing this spot, it's a wonderful place that really intrigues me. -Michael Puff

Jerry, I like how you captured the ambience of this fishing village...quaint and built around a way of life/work. Were you visiting? MFC

hi jerry ... a lovely scene, rich colors and plenty for me to take in. (*) i think a bit less of the road and a bit more of the sky would balance the scene nicely. also, if you are able, step back a a few yards or so, and the effect of the curve in the road would be more pronounced. a nice shot, nice scene. well done. -- andy
