Thanks everyone. Luben, thank you for your observations. I noticed the messy blue sky remnant today when I viewed the image on a different monitor than mine...so tried to clean it up more as soon as I got home from work. As far as the seagull goes, I decided to leave it in color as I wanted it to be different from the sky. I might try it in black and white later, but chose to leave this one in color. Melanie

I like the sky, but am not too sure about the seagul comp. I can still detect some blue around it. Also you can tell it was shot using converntional colour. A duotone treatment would make it blend much better with the sky.
