I feel as though an explination is needed. here it is...

The History of THE ARSE HELMET

The ARSE HELMET originates back in the year 2002. On this fateful night two years ago, while we were at camp and enjoying the campfire, one unfortunate soul ended up crashing at the fire in his chair. His "friends" (and I use this term lightly) decided that it would be a great idea to take a photo of a bare "bottom" on his head. (Yes, I do realize how incredibly mature this all seems)

The following year, the same thing happened, (because we received such wonderful praise from our wives on how responsible and mature we were on the previous years trip)... Now that it had happened twice, The ARSE HELMET was now considered a tradition. Tradition is a dangerous thing sometimes....wives have their traditions (weddings, anniversaries, and other romantic things)...It just so happened that our Tradition isn't quite so romantic. (unless you find a photo of your buddy's bare bottom on your head romantic....I'm hoping most of my fishing partners would say no to that)

The photo you see before you is the third ever helmet...... ARSE HELMET 2004!!!!

I am particularly fond of this photo because it is the only one of the three annual photos that does not feature Yours Truely as the Recipient. Unfortunately I have to admit that I have been the 2 year running helmeteer. BUT NOT THIS YEAR...THANKS TO MY FRIENDS COFFEE AND CHOCOLATE COVERED EXPRESSO BEANS.

I am truely proud.
