Hi everyone, thanks for your comments. I started taking this pano about 20 minutes after the sun had set.

It consists of 10 images taken in portrait orientation which were then stitched using Panorama Factory. The resulting file is a 100mb Tiff. I took three identical shots of each frame with the intention of stacking but found it was not necessary as they were already very sharp and virtually noise free.

I set the F717 to manual F4.0@1/1.6Sec, WB was the cloud preset, and manual focus to one tick bellow infinity. I zoomed in slightly to prevent barrel distortion. I made sure the tripod was level using it's built in bulls eye bubble and I had a double spirit level in the hotshoe.

Thanks again. Chris_S

Hi Chris,

I love this image, since it is taken earlier than most people would start shooting "night" shots. The beauty about this time of day is that you get both the artificial lighting and the afterglow of the sun reflected in the mirror-like sky scrapers.

You've done a great job!!!

Wowo! Chris, what a panorama. I opened the original image and it is gorgeous. You got one of the best lights for the image, just when the building has some artificial light but still being able to capture all the detail in the image. This is pro quality ... how did to stick together the images to create a panorama, using PS or any other software package?

Really excellent image.
