Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA, USA

I took few pics in the bookstore we have in our neighborhood few blocks from my home. I made an image of this cute girl that was moving the pages very rapidly, thus the title. Many kids spend time in the bookstore with their parents during weekends browsing through the books. (I did not ask permission to make this picture).

Converted to B/W with PS-CS, curves and level layers and noise reduction with Noise Ninja.

I noticed that the EXIF data was lost after using Noise Ninja (?). Not sure if this was because the conversion to a TIFF format (?). The EXIF should be: 1/50 secs, manual, ISO 400, no flash, 14 mm, f2.5, original at 3:16 PM on 03-13-04. I can post the pre-filtered with EXIF if you need me to do so.

Thanks for your comments.

Miguel

Miguel, * Most lovely object, wonderful composition, and fantastic action shot. This photo could have been one of the best I've seen if you would have left it in colors. I really miss them here.
I love b&w photography and I think it is great art by itself but I believe that it should be used only when it really contributes to the photo, which IMHO is not the case here.
I'd love to see this photo in colos and would appreciate if you could post it sometimes in the forum. (Moti)

I think I've opened this photo three or four times to this point. It's just wonderful! What a cutie this kid is, but your treatment of the image is what makes it extra special. --Nancy/JoseNoway

Miguel, as you know I like your style and this is typical of it - well designed and simple in its approach but full of expression ...great B/W. Noise Ninja seems to work well with these higher ISO #...Bee
