A Very Turkish Welcome
by Helen Betts
"Hos geldiniz" means "Welcome" in Turkish. The blue thing is a nazarlik, or mavi boncuk, which wards off the evil eye and is found virtually everywhere in Turkey. Taken in the lobby of the George C. Marshall DODDs school.
