This is the old Viginia City, Nevada schoolhouse, now a Museum. Virginia City was once a great mining community, producing a huge amount of silver during the 1860's. Once the silver ran out, so did most of the people. The schoolhouse setting is beautiful high desert; elevation is about 6200 ft and you can see about 75 miles out to the east.
