Game on!*

by Miguel Garcia-Guzman

This image was taken yesterday night at a game in the sports area of Torrey Pines High School, in Carmel Valley, San Diego. The picture represents the “after class” games that we all enjoyed (in my case soccer not football). I thought that the image could convey the feel of the game from a different perspective.

This is an image that has several variations, color, black-and-white, and also a variation in cropping and perspective. The image you see was cropped and the perspective changed following Andy’s advise. It is impressive to me how in few seconds he could see that the original image lacked impact (see original at http://mgguzman.smugmug.com/photos/2682107-L.jpg).

So Andy deserves the credit for any good that is in this image. The best version from my point is the B&W (see it at http://mgguzman.smugmug.com/photos/2694676-L.jpg) but following the people suggestions in the forum, the color was preferred. I hope you like it and my apologies for taking advantage of Andy’s advise but after exploring his proposals I did not like the original one anymore.

Thanks for taking the time to evaluate the image.

This is definitely dramatic, I can almost hear the cheers from the crowd. Great shot. Linda L.

Miguel - Excellent! Great spin - you can feel the game without seeing the game!
