Perth, Australia, Night Time!

After going out in the freezing night at 2 am, in pitch black,
Jumping a barbed wire fence, wading through wet grass past my knees,
thinking of all the snakes i was distrubing, trying to shoot trees
i could not even see in the view finder. I had to Post it.

You are an inspiration with this shot. Freezing, night shot, wading - no prob. But snakes in the swamp that you can't see at night??? You are an intrepid soul (or crazy!). Looks like it was worth it tho! CindyD

Ok maybe "freezing" was a stretch ;) but it was cold for us, about 4c. The moon was out but low, in fact i believe it had gone before i had fisnished, so there was only a little light from the left supplied by a street light, but the field/scene was so dark i was taking photos, then judging the framing , take another, move a little, took me ages to get them to "join hands" night framing just dosent work at that distance. Thanks for your comments guys. i liked it but felt it was too noisy.

Freezing in Perth? You poor thing! ha ha! I've been to Perth, and it was too hot for me! I love your picture. It's almost Tim Burton like! Something you'd see on Sleepy Hollow.

Great eery effect! I tried to paint a picture like this once, but did not succeed the way you did. It's a hard look to capture on camera; good work. -Thabear

Love it. Was it intentional to frame the trees at an angle that makes it appear that they are holding hands, one leading the other through the dark field? That is a wonderful, surreal photo.

Very, very interesting. Spooky, surreal feel to it. Like it belongs in a horror movie. But really, what does an aussie know of "freezing"?
(what did you have for lighting? nightshot or nightframing?)
