THIS IS BEST VIEWED AT ORIGINAL SIZE. I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE THAT THE DEFAULT...
These challenges are an excellent way to improve my knowledge of photography! After my initial attempts to capture movement without a tripod came up busts, i decided to try multiple images. These are 7 images shot with the 828 in burst mode and stacked. All comments welcome. Thanks - gk

The motion in this picture adds an interesting dark urban feel to it. Nice handheld work. -john (ebones)

I like the framing.. the wide panorama look. I often forget that cropping can add alot to a shot. JamieC

Looks good. Really impressed that it's 7 pics hand held.

hi LC, thank you very much - i did leave a note on STF to thank you but I am not sure you saw it so here is another Thank you. I was trying to lighten the image earlier but wasnt too happy with the results (too noisy). I remember having seen the contrast mask before but it just never occured to me to actually use it :). here are my results.

BTW - is there anyway you could email me your post processed picture - i just want to see how i did as compared to you. did try to look up your email address on STF but its not there.

thanks again - gk

Hi gk, I read your note in STF. I too appreciate comments as I feel that is main purpose of the challenge. I'm certain I stood at the very spot that you took this image at some point in my travels to Boston. You did a super job capturing the feel and motion of waiting at a T stop. I like the strategy of using a burst mode and then stacking the images.

(*) I do think the image is dark... probably the result of stacking... and the detail in the shadow is lost but can easily be brought out with post-processing. One solution would be to apply a Constrast Mask as described here http://luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast_masking.shtml
