these multi color tree trunks always amaze me. and they must amaze the tourists too 'cus there are always a bunch taking pichas of these unusual trees.

I didn't notice these when I was in Hawaii, where are they? The bark is subtly colored but very unusual. We don't have too many that I'm aware of near San Francisco, but I may not have noticed. --Dee
