chelsea, you've started with a great idea here. the subject's expression is dramatic - but (*) lost a bit in the soft focus, and lighting. imo, i'd try for some more detail with a bit more light on the subject, to reveal some additional details. the framing effect on his hair is somewhat distracting to me as well. it has the potential to be a fantastic portrait. -- andy
