...not a creature was stirring,
...not even a mouse.

A tiny crystal mouse atop a bevel-edged crystal cube ... and a red bow behind.
I liked the reflections of light and color, esp on the facets.

Just posted an image using another "Swarosvki animal" in the elligble gallery. Hope you don't mind a came up with the same subject.
I have to say I admire the way you did this. The way the facets come out is really good. The image shows all the details of how the object is build up, but it's still clearly a mouse. Believe me: I know how difficult it is to capture this thing! Nice composition and a beautifull warm colour contrasting with the silverlike colours in the glass. I love it.. Hewy

your ability to see a winning composition in the simplest of elements is amazing, mike. really a fine image. i love the catchlights, the composition (diagonal but that last diagonal toward the upper right is in my mind ;>) the colors are great. thanks also for your simple yet elegant caption and info on the setup. -- andy
