Something about this photo makes me think that it was taken in Mongolia, Tibet, China or somewhere similar. I get the feeling of remoteness. Great photo Melanie!!!

Cool photo - I like the light, and the shadow on the wood!

Melanie, you really "struck a chord" on this one. Looks like many of us were thinking windchimes, but you acted on it and have a beautiful image. I love the shadows and the sky. Bev

Melanie, I just love this!
I was going to do a windchime shot also.
Maybe will try one, we have a tuned windchime, different from this one, but I have seen these
.
Love Montana!...Oh Yeah~!!!
Great work...NC

Thanks everyone! And Mike-- I appreciate both of your comments. Heh heh...actually, I've tried to shoot the windchime from directly below a couple of times and just haven't gotten it right yet;). I might try tomorrow if the light is good (but we'll probably have clouds and snow tomorrow). Melanie

Nice capture and perspective, Melanie...I esp like the lighting/shadow/textures. Nice colors too in the sky and cabin...good choice for a subject. I would love to be in Montana right now :) MFC

(*) Melanie, I don't see anything I'd change here. I'd just enjoy exploring many possibilities with the windchime itself...wonder what it would look like shot straight up from below? MFC

Hi Melanie,
Like andy, I had the same idea as well. And, believe it or not, I have exactly the same windchime too! How strange! You've captured it very nicely and I really like the shadows on the siding. Nice shot. bottles

Thank you Andy! So you're on the east coast with cold and snow; and here I am in Montana with 50 F temps and warm sunny skies...go figure ;). Most of my previous snow is gone now. (I'm sure it will change soon, probably tomorrow.) Melanie

i went out in the snow and shot my windchimes today, but i wasn't really happy with the result. it's the exact same windchime! only mine's behind a blizzard, and under a lovely pine tree draped in snow. you beat me too a great idea, melanie -- and very well executed. -- andy
