Ultimate
Fremiet

I suppose any pic can lay claim to details. This one intrigued me from that perspective. A tiny fraction of this pic is frisbee, yet it informs everything else. There is no ground showing, yet we know they are in the air because of their postures, that also informs us that they are competing. The ripples in the shirts speak to action, the facial expressions to intensity.

This kind of shot seldom makes an appearance in challenges. It captures the beauty, grace and intensity of athletic competition in 1/500 sec. Yet there is so much explicit AND implicit in the image that it symbolizes a fundamental reason for being a photographer......being able to capture a moment in time that the eye alone never could...... while retaining a faithful connection to the context of its origin.

Excellent action shot Fremiet (a very well-captured moment), and it fits the challenge theme beautifully :). Melanie (mlynn)

Very nice action shot, Fremiet...almost looks choreographed in its "synchronized details" Well done. MFC

Fantastic John. Love the way you cropped this to focus in on your sons' expressions and the angles of their bodies. And I like your explanation. By the way, when I read the title, I read it as "Ultimate Fremiet" ;) Ann C
