Ann, you really are a good guesser! Yes, it's the fruit of some kind of low-growing palm; sprouts right in the middle. They are quite attractive, actually, but I don't know if anybody eats them. They seem to disintegrate and disappear in time. I'll see if I can post a picture of the whole thing and the "lobster" on the forum for you. Helen

I was thinking super close up of a sunflower center but, the colors don't seem right for that one. Maybe it's a close up of part of a cactus flower ?

Next guess - a palm tree but I'm not sure which part... trunk? Ann C.

I think it's something sweet and edible. Perhaps a jackfruit? florg

Well, it's something from a plant, but I'm not sure if anyone eats it. Not a pineapple, but right climate. Helen

Could be something to eat - some sweat? bezucho

I was going to guess pine cone but I can see it isn't... is it a pineapple or some kind of fruit I am not familiar with? Ann C.

Nothing to do with a brush, broom or scrubber, but the pine cone is on the right track. Helen

If not a brush/broom of some sort, a wet pine cone ?? MFC

My guess is that it's a super macro of the top of the bristles of a broom?
