Is it an old fashioned gum ball machine...to make gum balls (the chocolate ball guess helped, well maybe?)~Nee :)

3rd & final guess, a Soap Press to make soap balls ~ Scutellata

Keep guessing. Old fashioned machine, cranked by hand, on the wharf. I don't know if this particular machine was used for anything else than the sign stated, but I don't think it would work for chocolate (but I'm not sure). --Dee

Well if it aint a chocolate mold then it has to be a Old fashion Doughnut Whole Maker ~ Scutellata

Matza Ball maker ? LOL Don't tell me... you don't know what Matza Balls are ?
Guest 05-Jun-2002 00:17
No -- nothing to do with plastic at all.

This is an "old" device and has a handle that is turned by hand.

You can see it if you go to the Wharf in Santa Cruz, CA and look carefully in the windows.

Dee.... we're running out of options here, please!!! lol Ok, my next guess is that one of the subjects is plastic packaging chocolate balls or Bon Bons or something come in and, the other side is just the same in mirror reflection. Getting warmer now ??

No, it's not bubble wrap or a bath mat. Chocolate Balls is close but not what the sign said. LOL --Dee

I think you guys came close with bubble wrap fabricator but, this is in fact two sheets of bubble wrap, rolled next to each other to give you an optical chore. :-) How we doing... getting close now ?

Hmm... I was thinking bubble wrap fabricator too... But I'm not sure... And I _think_ all those are "innies"... -- W R Somsky

Wow Dee... my husband says bubble wrap fabricator... I think it's for making very thin curved pancakes..... just kidding. Haven't a clue. Wonderful pic though. Has me going buggy trying to figure which are innies and which are outies. Ann C.

he optical illusion here makes my eyes go wiggy! LOL the bottom cylinder looks like a mold or press. the top part is either the mate to the press or the result of the process. like a bathmat? great pic Dee.
