This is a hand-carved and hand-painted piece of wooden folk art that is owned by a friend of mine. The photo was taken in natural light from a window on a kitchen shelf. There was a distracting background, so I replaced it with a solid color. The room was dimly lit, so the exposure was long. What looks like dust is probably noise from the long exposure. The EXIF data did not display, so here is the exposure information: ISO 100, 8 seconds at at f/8.
