While at Mammoth, I saw a group of photographers with their tripods and backpacks full of camera equipment. (I had my tripod in my car, but was never brave enough to take it out and use it :-).)
I love this shot. When I was there a number of years ago, I had only video. Bummer. The rushing water, the steam, and the figures, along with the rock in the foreground make this a terrific shot. One suggestion -- crop the sky off to just above the ground on the left side.
I love this shot and I think the photographers with their tripods adds a special touch. It gives a great sense of scale and it's thrilling to see image makers at work! Makes me want to go back to Yellowstone again. Roberta
