Thank you all for your positive comments.
My wife and I go to the conservatory every
time I get a new camera to take a few practice
pictures to see how good the camera is.
In there it is almost hard to take a bad picture.
(the new camera was a P10, I took the 717 to compare)

Dave, I really like the placement of this colorful bloom within the scene. The background, totally composed of green, wet, round lily pads, is very effective. Nicely seen and photographed. MFC

wow dave, i have the same lilies growing in my pond. and yet, as i looked for circles to shoot, i never noticed them again! glad you thought of it - great light/sharp image and lovely comp/crop. nice work. -- andy
