Great use of colors - gives the scene a great surreal, yet famililar feel to it.

This is the only image I really like among all of them so far. It's moody, and that's the main reason I like it. We'll see.

Wow Cat... I'd never have guessed you did all that to create this. It works so very well. It seems real and yet not real... I guess surreal actually when I think about it. I love the image and all it says. Ann C

MxCat, this is a beautiful photo...glad you explained your process here...the mood created by the coloring/lighting is very captivating. I like the perspective and dramatic sky too. MFC

Katherine, Simon
I shot it as a regular nightshot mode IR.. R72/ND8/and polarizer. Using Joseph Levy's tip I adjusted the hue of yellows in the hue/sat control to get the bluish sky. Then used levels to darken and bring out the contrast. Then I made a layer and with the hue control and color balance I made the trees and grass look green. It was very bright though so I darkened it with the burn brush. Then I erased the sky and the road revealing the first layer. Then I did the same thing again to redden parts of the trees and the middle of the road then erased for the original parts again. Touched up the shoulders of the road and tidbits with a desaturation brush. Didn't use any selecting or cloning, just colors and erasing.. Finally when I made it into a jpg I changed the size from 800x600 to 800x450 to make it look like a pano..

That is really cool! Please tell us how you did that. - Katherine Kenison

Oh my... can we have some details on this shot please (pano? polarizer? post prod et al). The contrast between the sky and ground make this look almost like two seperate photos. Good idea - stunning scene. Congrats. - Simon Bennett.
