Thanks for all the very kind comments! I was a bit nervous about posting this one because it really does reflect how I feel often - a bit unsure and in need of comfort. All the nice remarks make me feel a bit more at ease. It is nice to be among
friends :-). Lisafx

Yep, my mind keeps coming back to this picture as well. I agree with what others have said & wanted to add this:

The years of loving shown on the bear's make this picture even more appealing; I believe the same to be true for the person.

Very well done!

I keep coming back to this photo Lisa. There's something about peering in through those windows-to-the-soul that I find transcends all other communication. This is a good idea well executed. It'd be interesting to know what you were thinking when you took this shot as it feels like you're ensconced in the mood. - Simon Bennett.

Vulnerable was my first thought at seeing this portrait. Your expression seems to be asking "what's next?" I don't know why. Very nice, Bev. --Nancy/JoseNoway

Lisa, I really like your expression in this one. It gives me a warm feeling to see a picture of an adult with innocent child peeking out. Ann C

This is a nice self-portrait Lisa, your sincere expression is one we see often in children's eyes. Linda L.

Lisa, that is a really great capture of expression on your face. I read your expression as "trust", and together with the teddy bear, the image to me vividly displays the seemingly all too vulnerable trust of a child. The B&W is defintely very fitting for the mood of the shot. Nicely done. --Mike Ezell

Great self-portrait Lisa, the composition, b/w treatment, and your expression make a great combination.

Great portrait and expressive image. There are a few ways to interpret this... one might be a look of being caught with the teddy bear, regressing :-) Mark J

The first word that came to mind when I looked at this was "honest," in that this looks like a honest self-portrait, in which the real person comes through. Then came "vulnerable" and "sincere." Very well done indeed. JoeSchmoe
