Photographer's Eye
by JoeSchmoe

This is a crop from a much larger portrait of my girl (here: http://www.pbase.com/image/17573304). It turns out also to be a self-portrait of sorts of me as the photographer. The reflections in her eye, including mine, are authentic, not "photoshopped" in. Though the image quality of this crop is not the best, I'm still amazed at the "eye" for detail the F717 has (not to mention my daughter's own lens), to reveal this backyard scene in this relatively tiny area of the photo.

You are right - it's pretty amazing how our eye is created!

Now that is an original way to do a self portrait! I wonder how many of those I would find in the eyes of my victims - I mean subjects ;-). Lisafx

WOW, how about a coming 8MP cam? :-).Due to the resolution, I love how it look at thumbnail size. I caught myself like this several time. At first, I didn't notice until my friend pointed out. Great idea Joe.

Very cool idea, Joe-- you'd have to have the photographer's eye to even see this. Good job! --Nancy/JoseNoway

That precious little girl is quite a star on this forum. Great idea - I've seen myself reflected in my kids/grandkids eyes, but never so clearly as this. Love it. Bev

Wow, Joe, this is a wonderful shot, the detail is unbelievable. What made you blow it up like that to see your reflection, makes me want to go back and investigate my pictures. The photograph of your daughter is beautiful.
