Franklin Square - Shay

New York

Test image design for a possible post card a downtown developer wants made. I don't like the car in the one image. I will have to go back when the car is not there and grab another shot. But won't have time before the challenge ends.

other sizes: small medium original auto

I'm a little late to the party on this one, and I missed it in my rush last night... I agree with your comment about the care, but this is a nice postcard for the area. Really gives a nice feel of what the area is about. Gives me a few ideas as well.... ;-)

I really like it, Shay. All the photos are very nice & collectively colorful, arranged well IMO to best display the varying perspectives. I esp like the unifying white lines and central "medallion", which itself expresses "Franklin"...really a good idea. The only thing I might play with is the "Franklin Square" text itself...at first I didn't notice it (maybe because there is a lot of signage/colorful text on display here...maybe just because it's me :). If this was mine, I'd try a couple other ways and compare to see if I liked it any better (may not :) ...1)same position, but a little larger text, and to span across about 1&1/4 to 1&1/3 photos (and thru the section of the lower right line)... or...2)"Franklin" to the left, and "Square" to the right of the medallion, both almost touching the medallion, maybe even consider a way to have it effectively bisected by the horizontal line....but only spanning across part of the length of the white line. These are just ideas I'd play around with (and very confusing I'm sure)...I like it really well as is too. Very nice "neighborhood" business ad/card. MFC
