This is a fine ad, but the leftside image is particularly appealing to me. I wonder whether it would stand on its own as a restaurant ad. JoeSchmoe

I really like the warm feel of both of these images. You composed each very well, but my eye moves left to right in this ad. I would switch the image order and maybe move the bottles to left and the food to the right. And I'd place a glass filled with the wine next to the food. That would tie them in better, but thats just my opinion.

Mark, thanks for your input, appreciate. Next time round will do as you suggest and make sure that I remove the back label. Thanks again.............. Vikas

A little photographers trick for you Vikas... when I'm photographing bottled spirits or beverages, I remove the rear label from the bottle. Nobody who views the add is interested or even looks to see if the bottle's rear label is still affixed... all they are taking in are the front of the bottle and the highlight / accent lights I place on the bottle by design (through experimenting with lighting positions etc.). So, next time you can remove that back label from teh bottle and you'll be the only one who notices and certainly the only one who cares :-) Mark J

I really like the ambiance here, Vikas, due to your choice of scene, colors, and lighting. Although I don't know how to do this, maybe try to experiment with an elliptical/oval vignette effect around the bottles that could have a blurred edge and not disrupt the scene like a blurred straight line would....would also allow a little more background exposure instead of a half-and-half composition. Just an idea...wish I knew how to do it :) MFC

Willem/Mark, thanks for your comments, appreciate them. Did try it out with a non blurred line in the centre but seemed too cut and paste. Will try different effects and post soon.

Willem, I actually did get thirsty during the shoot but refrained (albeit with great self control) from drinking the wine.... :-) (of course polished it off later after the shot). The bottle is actually full and uncorked, guess it looks half empty due to the label at the back of the white, which is casting a shadow. ;-)

I like the warm colors on the right side and the two images seem to work well together. The text message at the bottom is a good choice for placement, without disturbing the product message. Regarding Willem's comment of the right side bottle having opened, hmmm... looks like a completely sealed cork to me? The comment about the middle area blur where the two images meet: I agree the blur was really not necessary but, I'm guessing you were trying to make the two images meld together more softly side by side? If that was the case, you can experiement with blending tools and other options. Mark J

These two images fit very well together and I like the warm atmosphere and the expression of class. Two comments : someone already drank from the right bottle (got thursty while shooting ? LOL) and the blur in the middle is unnecessary IMO. Willem
