Great mood, light and expression, superb image, my congratulations. I was used to use dark rooms but now I shoot often in the b&w mode and I start to like it and with PS you can burn and dodge in a much easier way but I'm going back to film sometimes with the Holga and sometimes to use very high ISO's. So again great picture, really enjoyed it.
With kind regards,
Dirk

Excellent use of shadow. The youth in the neatly pressed suit plays well against what appears to be a dimly lit alley. I agree with Arlene, it reminds me of a movie poster - perhaps a young Leonardo DiCaprio in The Basketball Diaries.

It definitely looks like film - reminds me of a clip from a motion picture - very dramatic -mysterious--draws you in -- you want to know what's going on --Arlene

nicely conveyed mood. real b&w - as in the raw emperor?

I like the mood, formal, but with the dark shadows. Sarah

You really have to see the original fiber print of this image to appretiate the range of tone.

Yes, this is a real B&W image, shot on B&W film, developed in B&W chemistry, printed in a darkroom on B&W paper.

Those of you who have only done B&W in Photoshop should really take the ime to learn to do your own traditional B&W. You can develop film in your bathroom and rent a darkroom somewhere to make prints...
