Great twist on the typically static portrait. The way the light progressively envelopes the subject's head evokes thoughts of a near death experience, where individuals speak of passing into a tunnel of light. Creative idea that causes the viewer to ponder the artist's motivation behind the photo, rather than just examining the contents.

thank you cindy. all i did was slow down the shutter speed each time so it would be more overexposed. and yes i would rather burn out than fade away but the thought of setting myself on fire for a photo is just a bit too extreme. ;-) - cUrVe

I saw your thread in stf about slowing the shutter speed down for each pic. Amazing set of pics using that technique. The uniformity and the seamlessness between pics is great. Did you also adjust the exposure value? or just the shutter speed? BTW - Its better to burn out . . . than to fade away . . . my my . . . hey hey. ;-) CindyD

hi ann and thanks. well i was too busy trying to hold the camera steady (too lazy this morning to set up the tripod) that i wasn't even thinking about my expression. btw that's my stone face. 5 separate shots that all look the same. straight out of the camera except combined in photoshop. i adjusted each exposure in camera. or each overexposure i should say. - cUrVe

Why so serious? ;) I love seeing what you look like. Your pictures are always so very interesting with a different twist and now I know what you look like too. :) I like the idea of a fading photographer... Good one. Ann
