10th Place: Curvature of Space-Time
by JoeSchmoe

Abstracting from an intriguing concept in physics. According to Einstein's theory of general relativity, matter curves space-time around it by force of gravity. Getting the shadow to bend was a lot easier (and more fun) than wrapping my mind around this abstract concept.

Very appealing, Joe. B&W was a perfect choice to show off the form, shadow, and background. I can't wait to try out your background technique. Michael Puff

Thanks for the kind comments, everyone. Lance, the backdrop is flexible posterboard, which I bent up to get the shadow to curve. :)

I like this also, Joe. The (flower vase?) object is contemporary looking in design and I like the long shadow cast by your lighting. Mark J

I really like this image Joe. The metal(?) object almost seems to fade out towards the base, and the shadow takes over. It's fun to look at. Melanie (mlynn)
