Where Are You, Mom?
by EmnmE

This is the last card she sent me about 3 years ago. Everytime I look at this card (now already wet for this challenge *grin*) it reminds me of mom.

Email has changed the way we send our warmest greetings to our most beloved. We've lost that sense of intimacy of going to card shops just to find that special card that can brighten up the day of someone we love.

I will send this card back to her. Hoping it will remind her of her once a little dear boy who made many greeting cards out of his coloring book and posting them on the fridge on Monther's Day.

(Once again, it's Mums' Day and I'm so far away from her - it's been 3 years... sigh...)

Love the artistry in your work Emnme. You are very talented and this shot has it all - emotion, mood, lighting, composition, technical quality . . . Cindy

Mark, It's not true that I'm an experienced photog. U've seen me mature from EmnmE to LostFocus. Maybe the current blow in my decisions lately made me long for somebody we all owe our lives to. (Ok. It's time to see X-men 2 again to kick me a bit)

Thanks for the wonderful message! EmnmE

Emme, this is a beautiful image! You are an experienced photographer and it shows in your style and composition. I love that you included the envelope with the card and, I just love everything about this image. Your story is a reminder of how automated we have all become.. it's sad. I'm not sure I like the title of the image but, since this is such a personal one, it's your personal taste that matters most. Very nice work, Mark J.
