Although weather was bright and clear, a blue dark ghostly haze started to come over the place, as a deafening buzzing started. Reports described people covering their mouths to avoid inhaling the substance and many airline flights were canceled.
The cloud was dramatically visible over the Paris area in a March 31 image made by a NOAA satellite.

Day light started to fade dramatically
In a deafening roaring, a strange large, bright object appeared in the western sky, brighter than Jupiter or Mars, moving east at a high rate of speed. As guided by the torch of the liberty statue, the bulb shaped object approached rapidly, ending its trajectory at meters from the statue. At 3:55pm GMT, It abruptly disappears, "for no apparent reason."
