The Pink Petal (I) Fremiet

Washington DC April 1, 2002

The great Potomac River winds its way through this city, and extends itself into a scenic basin, the Tidal Basin, where it waters hundreds of Japanese Cherry trees around the basin's perimeter. At the beginning of April these burst into millions of blooms, -a great tourist attraction.
Today there is a strong wind and the temperature is in the fifties.

Hi Fremiet, Really enjoyed these photos and the stories. I especially liked the second photo, and the way you mentioned the weather in this one. It just helped me get a better feel for the place. I would have guessed it to be much warmer. Very nice job, thanks! Jim
