Curving Branches
by Bev Brink

This Florida tree has very strong, large thorns on the trunk and branches.
Can anyone tell me the name of this tree?

Excellent perspective and detail! Hey! I just saw and shot one of these trees here in my country... I took a photo of the name of the tree so I could remember... I'll check and post again with the name. Regards! Carlos.

I am also wondering what it is. Love those bumpy bits... and the perspective from your vantage point. Nifty. Ann C

I have a pic of a similar tree in the Malaysian rainforest, but like you, I don't know what it is. --Howard

Thanks, Mike. They do look similar. I've had no luck doing an internet search or checking at a book store; next week I'll try the library. Bev

I wouldn't have a clue, Bev, but I wonder if it's the same species that ZivG found in Israel? --http://www.pbase.com/image/2397569
