Get that Ball

This was taken at the Finals of the Maharaja Scindia Polo Cup in New Delhi. Was unfortunately sitting quite a distance away, so, put the camera on full zoom and kind of followed the players with the camera. This shot was taken when the ball came near the stands and liked the sense of action in this photo.

Nice shot, Vikas! I like how you composed the subjects in the image and, I especially like the moment you captured, with the horses side by side, angling towards the ball in play. Mark J

Vikas, your pan produced just the right blend of "focused" and "blurred"...a really nice action shot...good color and detail too. MFC

Great panning shot, good blurred background and real action in the horse and the ball, and at the same time the players pin sharp. Really well done. Not sure about the part of the left horse being cut off, difficult to get it right in the action, but would it be even better cutting a bit more ? Not sure. Willem
