Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll try some different variations this weekend and see what I come up with. The feedback was very useful -- thanks again!

Unique game pieces, WC...since you ask, I'd experiment in two areas: more dramatic lighting/shadows and a different background. I'd try backgrounds of white and black...might even try something to simulate a "barnyard" effect, maybe try experimenting with some straw too. Lastly, I'd explore a composition with less or "no" box that concentrates on the unique pieces themselves. Would probably try the opposite too...a background of "all box" with the figures on top. After all that experimenting, I'd pick the one I liked the best. MFC

Don't know what you mean with "blah", I assume you want to make something more special out of it ? I had that with my scrabble picture, which was first taken more from above and from the right which looked rather plain. Now I am satisfied with the angle. On your picture a suggestion : you could take a picture from the pigs point of view, like "Oh boy, here is this hand coming again which is going to toss me around, run !!!". You could do something with the light, color, shadows or take a different background, create an atmosphere of a family gathering. Hope this helps. Willem

Advice Wanted: I really love this subject and want to make it work, but I feel that my picture's way too blah. Any suggestions to improve it?
