here's another adaptation of my rolling dice series, with a change in DOF
That the numbers ended up in sequence (4,3,2) was just "chance" lol

Sorry, I meant rolled the back two dice and glued the first in focus die. I tried rolling three but, could never seem to get all three to stay in a straight rolling line and, keep them in frame for the shot at this angle. :-) Mark J

Confessions from a creative photographer :-) I did throw the dice... but did not succeed in my goals, I think I'm too picky! I combined two images.. one of a the first in sharp focus die that was actually rolled and, I actually glued the other two dice to the background, which was a challenge all in itself!! So, the only thing I can be praised for, is some compositional skills and, maybe some creative thinking and, a little creative PS work. Thank you for your comments! Mark J

Ok Mark I am convinced: you did throw these dice. Once again it´s a wonderfull image no matter how you have created it. I admire you patience. Hewy

Mark, I much prefer this one to the other dice shot of yours. In the landscape oriented one, the dice seem too far spaced for the compostion. Also, here, the towards-the-viewer perspective is much more dynamic than in the left-to-right arrangement of the other. I also like the color of background you chose.

When viewing it in "large" its almost like a 3D image, the first dice really jumps out. Don't know how you did it but if these dice are really rolling then I must admire your patience (or luck). Great composition and exact the right focus. No, this can't be done by just throwing the dice... or did you ? Hewy

I like the simplicity of this, the motion and the great color. And your frame really enhances it quite nicely. Helen

cool use of color - love the way the dice stand on edge and then fade out. --arlene
