They were participating in a ceremony right after one of the races to honor a jockey that was killed the week before at a track in California. I don't know who. It only lasted a minute or two, and I happened to be in the right place, at the right time. It helps to be out taking pictures when these moments arrive!

Perhaps I missed the thread explaining what event happened concerning these jockeys, but could you enlighten me? What's the story behind this photo? What or who are they mourning? Was there a track accident? (I've been busy lately and missed the news for the past few weeks, so please forgive my ignorance!) Thanks, ~Nee (great photo, BTW!)
