Original photo is the colored photo depicted by the planet. I took the original, duplicated to a new layer, changed new layer to greyscale, selected a circle on the color image, pasted on top of the B&W layer. I couldn't sphereize the selection of the planet because it would distort the trees, so I put a spotlight lighting effect on the planet to give it the illusion of being rounded. Then flattened. voila! pablo

MIke, I don't mean to answer for Pablo here, just want to take a guess at it. Might be that Pablo created a solid colored round object, pasted it in as a separate layer, then gave the layer a translucent appearance so the background (the clouds) would show through?
How'd I do Pablo, close ?

Very nicely done Pablo! The "bad moon" gives a surreal look to your image and, adds just the right touch of color / interest. You also chose a very suitable color... that's one bad moon you've got there :-) Mark J

Really interesting effect here, pablo...if you feel like it, could you describe how you did this? MFC
