Thirty-Seconds 'Til Darkness
by Bev Brink

Northern Indiana

As I drove, this sunset was slipping away from me. I finally found a spot to pull off the road, and took this in twilight mode, using the hood of my truck to steady the camera. Surprisingly, the reflection on the hood almost looks like a lake. I cropped to frame the silhouetted tree, but didn't alter the color. This is how the sky actually appeared.

lol, Bev. Been there. Usually my husband is trying to drive and find a spot while I'm dying because the light is going so fast. This is beautiful in both color and silhoutte. You done good. - Ro

This is a very dramatic close of a day. I love the colors and the reflection is very nice I could stare at this picture a long time. Well done! Mark

Bev, this is a beautiful capture. That you got a reflection off the car hood, is an added surprise bonus and, I can assure you nobody would have known it was not water reflection if you had not told us so. These spontaneous captures are what make photography so exciting to me! Mark J
