Ro: Thanks for the comment....and a GOOD question. Here's my take. The figure is approaching the left from the right..coming in from the shadow. The pic has a bit of a spooky feel to some because of the approach from relative darkness. A frame would lessen the effect...imo. Frames have become v popular in these competitions and are a bit overused from my point of view. They contain. No frame, especially given the black background, tends to leave the pic open and emphasizes the darkness from which the figure is emerging, making it a bit spookier. But, thenks to your input, I have renamed the picture.
BTW I'm the kind of person who leaves cabinet doors open, front doors and car doors unlocked...little wonder I don't want to close the pic with a frame. Thanks again. F

Fremiet-a strong effect, with the silhoutte's form echoed by the person. Good range of tones. I'm losing a little of the effect with it against a black background. Would a frame set this one's composition off better in this particular setting, or do you prefer to lose the right side like that? - Ro

I like this too, Fremiet...and the high degree of contrast. Very effective lighting, nice composition. MFC

An unusual image, Fremiet. I like seeing both the person and his silhouette. Bev
