Yurgh! :) That looks truly menacing! I like it that the colors are so vibrant on the animal and the subtle backround texture that the web creates.

Very well composed and captured, Ernest. The background and focus perfectly isolate your interesting subject. I love the subtlety and radiating pattern of the web...it really draws maximum attention to the spider. Simple and well taken. MFC.

I always like close-up shots and this is a very interesting one. I agree with Autumn Sky, the focus and composition is really great here! Very nice entry for the challenge Ernest!
