The Physics of Light by Miguel Furlock

Sanlúcar de Barrameda

Why is the sky blue?

I love this question. I always had the problem to explain it well but now, with all the alchemy of light running to my and our encounter, I just love to answer with a photo. A single drop, containing the world enough for blue photons to keep coming and going. Withstanding easily the whole lot of all the other photons, red and yellows, and all the greens we do not see, but living under a green sun, as the Physics of Light tell us.

The sky is blue, because it is like this drop. A bareer. A container, specially loved by blue photons who never stop playing their games.

Obviously, straight out of the camera and with no filters or whatever additions. Light and water.

Miguel, I love the little bit of "ocean" you captured in this drop....beautiful color-play. Again, wonderful light...a perfect focal point here. Nice capture! MFC
