Everything about this photo works...the vivid colors, the deep shadows, the centeredness of the subject, the unexpected nail (or screw) holding the pear in it's place...all of those factors take this image far beyond the usual tame still-life photos of fruit. Again, you've created a photographic masterpiece by breaking nearly all the rules! Well done...~Nee

cUrVe: I keep coming back to this. I'm not crazy about the screw yet it does something for the shot. The image stays with me. Fremiet

Still great, no matter how many times I look at it.

Great definition, especially that pear shadow! Nice work. Mike Drenth.

Awesome idea. My girlfriend (Cucumber Dreams) and I fell in love with it immediately. We loved the simplicity and colors. Once again, your stuff is amazing.

Beautiful color combination of subject and background. The shadow works well, and the colored dots on the pear match the background - I like that effect. I suspect that it was very hard to avoid or eliminate the flash reflection (if used).

cUrVe, awesome. One of those ideas that makes me mad I didn't think of it. Love this. Jim
