Pescadero, California. The end of the road. The end of the day. I've been trying for a long time to get a good way to utilize this sign. There are actually two of them. We call them End End. I was actually shooting other potential perspective shots which didn't turn out unusual enough for this challenge. It was a beautifully clear day but I knew the sunset wasn't going to be spectacular. So we headed out to the highway when I saw the setting sun and the end signs. I barely had enough time. My fixed 707 over exposes in auto mode, so I frantically tried to get a good manual setting. Then I realized I should use a fill flash on the End sign. I didn't have enough time to get just the right distance from the sign to get the fill I wanted. A setting sun waits for no one! So post processing I did some contrast masking, some duplicate layers with the End sign masked so I could bring more richness into the sunset. If I had had more time.....
