This is my first horse - her previous owner abandoned her. She's a 20 yr old mare, who's really quite humble, although her name is Vanity.

Thanks for the comments! Deb, she was being boarded at my sister-in-law's farm, and her owners just stopped paying. She finally got them to sign a form saying she can give her away. So it's not a real dramatic story - she wasn't left to starve, or anything.

Katherine, what a beautiful animal! And a great shot of her to boot! Her eye almost looks as if you caught her by surprise. You and she are lucky to have found each other. Would love to hear the circumstances which lead to this happy ending.---deb
