Thank you very much Glyn for your wonderful words. I must admit that although this photo was taken more then 5 years ago when I started to get serious about digital photography, with a very simple P&S camera, it is still one of my all times favorite.
This guy was standing in front of a deparment store window that was fullt covered with a poster, in which there was a strong reflection of the opposite building, so the background is a mix of both.
It is true that the background is very busy but as it has similar tones as the player's clothes and it is fulll of guiding lines leading to the main subject, it is much less dominant. Alsi used fill in flash which alsi helped to isolate the main subject. This also ewplains the burned highlight in the top left corner.
The photo is almost as shot with no photoshop manipulations except crop and tone corrections.
Cheers

Hi Moti: You've done it again. Blown me back in my chair. Like when you showed your Digital Photographer. That time, you have pure black background. Here your subject is again totally dominating but THIS time in a potentially disruptive background.
I have to call this 'Classic' again. I mean you've IMO Immortalized YET another aspect of Activity and Attitude. This time I've got deepy personal reasons for deeming this one of my favourite pictures of all time. I will share in more appropriate context if it ever becomes relevant. Best wishes
