Interesting Puzzle! I am especially taken by the way the bits of the picture which are NOT blurred, are very crisp. A great anchor giving, by comparison extra energy to the train.

I get the idea & it's a good one, thought of it myself. ;)
Whatever it is it illustrates one of my favorite aspects of excellent photography: serendipity! (Magic, too, of course.)

CG, I like your theory! :-) Still found another possible explanation, but I would need to go back to the place for a proof. It maybe is not a reflection, but some "gap" in the wagon. Then you could look through and if the gap is small you cannot notice when the wagon is passing by. But the camera may catch the whole like a shutter that moves from up to the bottom (here from left to right). Hope you get the idea! Cheers, Frank

Most curious! Looking at the original, it would appear that there's not even a window on the side of the train for the reflection to appear in, plus it should have been blurred anyway. So....what could it be...maybe a snapshot into an alternate universe? ;)

Hi CG! It is very simple, I have absolutely no clue about the reflection. I was very surproesed when I opened the file. Do not even know about any buildings around in this angle.

I wish I had taken this. How did you capture that amazing reflection?
