Lonely...... by willvan

Compared to today, this was not a bad day in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia....you could actually see across the inlet. Bill

Thanks Helen. Bill

Well, I like the serene feeling in this! Nicely seen and captured.

Thanks Frank and Glyn for your comments and suggestions. I have a replacement image ready but cannot get access to edit or replace it even though I have a PBase account and went so far as to put an entry into the Eligible category, thinking I could get in that way. Bummer. I have put a note in the challenge thread asking to have the image replaced from one in my gallery. Bill

Hi, If you want t harmonize the slope of the posts and the slope of the trees, crop in from the left to that lowest dip in the treeline. That will, in addition give the bird a better corner-strength and apply Franky's feedback to lose that dark bit on the left. Hold a magazine or book against the monitor for quick confirmation. IMO the rest of the crop is perfect. Full respect to you for retaining space at the bottom thus allowing a little bird to anchor the lower-left corner at the termination point of an implied zig-zag down the picture. For by doing this, you have, IMO gently cemented the distant atmospheric perspective into and though the geometric perpective of the nearer objects. I like this landscape. .

Great composition! Please allow one remark. IMHO it would help if you would remove the dark part on the lower left.
