These are small packs of single-sided razor blades mounted on a cardboard plaque that used to be displayed in pharmacies in the 1930s for sale. That was the greatest era of retail graphic design.

My goodness ... in the same way that sepia and fading can put the present into the past, what you've done with your way of colouring has brought the past to the present. Powerful

Great entry - I love the old-fashioned subject, and the bright exposure and colors!

What a wonderful find! I love the repeating pattern and the great old-fashioned feeling overall.

Hehh! I briefly considered suggesting "found patterns" for this theme, and this shot would've fit in perfectly! Nice interpretation of the still life!

Let's to the time warp again, jp! Very graphical, 2D look, almost like a poster on it's own. Cool start for the eligible.

You're right, it's more of a trompe-l'oeuil. I made a wrong turn in the museum! ;)

Not really a usual still-life (I miss the flowers, vase and the fruits :)) The limited number of colors in this repetative pattern is what fascinates me. MCsaba

Thanks John. I've been an inveterate collector from the age of 8 or so. I used to have a pretty good collection of advertising art (lots of coca cola memorabilia), punch boards, coin-op machines, you name it. This is among the few dregs I have left.

Wow!..Where did you find that? It must be seventy years and many miles out of its time and place. Fascinating object, fun entry.
